About the Role

Ontik Technology is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers analytics and reporting for a US-based client. You will be responsible for developing reliable, scalable data pipelines and ensuring that data is accurately ingested, transformed, and made available for downstream consumption by BI and analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and deliver data from multiple sources.

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

• Ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance across all pipeline components.

• Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to understand data requirements and optimize data delivery.

• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and implement proactive alerting.

• Maintain thorough documentation of data flows, schemas, and transformation logic.

• Support the migration or consolidation of data sources as needed.

• Contribute to data governance practices including metadata management and lineage tracking.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Scala.

• Experience building and maintaining pipelines using tools such as dbt, Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience working with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.

• Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Experience in a client-facing or offshore delivery model is an advantage.

Contract Details

Working Timezone: USA

Salary Range: BDT 150,000 to 200,000 per month

Language Requirement: English fluency required
