About the role

Ontik Technology is looking for a hands-on Talent Acquisition & HR Manager to lead hiring end-to-end while building the people systems that scale with the company. This role goes beyond recruitment; it's about creating the foundation of how we hire, grow, and retain talent across our engineering and business teams.

Core responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Primary focus

Own the full recruitment lifecycle
Own end-to-end recruitment across all departments; define role requirements with hiring managers
Build and maintain active and passive candidate pipelines
Design structured interview and evaluation processes
Track hiring metrics: time-to-hire, offer acceptance rate, quality of hire, cost-per-hire
Drive employer branding across LinkedIn, referrals, campus outreach, and reputation platforms
Own background verification (BGV) for all new hires

Vendor & Staff Augmentation

Agency relationships and offshore coordination
Manage recruitment agencies and external vendors; track performance on delivery speed and quality
Coordinate staff augmentation and onshoring requirements with partner companies
Ensure SLAs and hiring timelines are consistently met

HR Process & Systems

Build from scratch, not follow templates
Design and implement structured onboarding; develop HR policies and employee handbook
Establish performance review, promotion, and salary increment processes
Manage complete employee lifecycle — joining through exit and full and final settlement
Lead compensation benchmarking and define market-aligned salary bands
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Act; maintain employment documentation

L&D · Engagement · HR Ops

Keep the team growing and the data clean
Identify skill gaps and coordinate L&D initiatives; support career path planning with managers
Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution
Oversee payroll coordination, attendance, and leave management
Produce HR reports: headcount, attrition, hiring metrics, and pipeline health

What you need to bring

5–8 years of HR experience with a strong focus on talent acquisition
Proven track record hiring for technical roles, software engineering preferred
Experience managing recruitment vendors and agencies
Exposure to HR generalist functions in a growing company
Strong understanding of hiring funnels and recruitment metrics
Structured, process-driven mindset with build-from-scratch capability
Data-driven approach to HR reporting and decision-making.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred background
Experience in software companies / IT services/startups
Familiarity with staff augmentation or outsourcing models
Experience setting up HR processes from scratch

TEAM STRUCTURE & REPORTING

This role reports directly to the Founder and works cross-functionally across all departments. You may be supported by a junior HR Executive/Coordinator for operational tasks. You will have the ownership and freedom to define people strategy, tools, and processes as the company scales.
